The ongoing pandemic has strained healthcare nationwide, and state health departments are not exempt. Therefore, the state administration of Madhya Pradesh is currently working to justify the necessity of integrating SRH and HIV care into the public health system.

According to a news statement issued on Tuesday, Alliance India, which is implementing the Sampoorna Project in conjunction with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is in charge of managing the integration of HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH).

Surbhi Gupta, project director for the State AIDS Control Society, and Priyanka Das, the director of the NHM MP mission, attended the opening of a workshop on this topic. The one-day event included participation from numerous organizations operating primarily in the health sector with MPSCAS.

The main goals of this project are to improve the states integration of HIV and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and ensure that women have affordable access to SRH services. (Times of India, Sep 7, 2022)
